I´m working with the Asturian translation, have finished with most of game entries, but I´m not read deeply the forums yet. The Ufopedia and storyline is still in development, I´m true? So the contents are not ready for translate I think.

Must I send you the actual work or I´ll better wait to a more advanced story stage?

P.D.: I have no idea in modelling, but there will be "Greys"?, I love those little telepats... and sheeps?? The cow and the penguins are cool, but sheeps rule.

I agree that it's far too early to translate anything, but apparently the powers that be think otherwise. You should just judge for yourself. If you feel like tagging behind the developing game all the time, then you can do some work now and send it to mattn or Hoehrer, who can commit the translations to the SVN repository.

I'm sorry, but the link
http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.cgi/ufoai/ufoai/trunk/src/po/
is currently not available. I hope the Sourceforge SVN-servers are back online soon.

Oh well, as soon as I have a bit more free time, I may get back to tranlsating into french. I was already volunteer for the previous dev-team, no reason I shouldn't be here !

I have started on the korean translation,
but, I am not korean, and some of the
dicitionary translations are iffy.

will hopefully be finished in a week or so,
then someone else can double check it
please.

just a quick note:

the pot-file is updated and a few typos are fixed. please grab the newest file to make your translations.

we are planning to do a new release (if we get the bugs fixed mentioned in TODO-file) - but we will only include 100% finished translations to the new release. if you want to get your language finished read the texts in http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.cgi/ufoai/ufoai/trunk/src/docs/ about weapon and techs.

there are some descriptions that are still missing - hoehrer will post a list of them soon.

There is no fixed ETA. It will be released when the items/bugs in the TODO list are fixed and enough translations have been submitted.

I think the best way of finding new things that need to be translated is to search for "_txt" in src/po/en_GB.p and look for the ones that do _not_ have "<TODO>" in them (i.e there's a long english description).

FYI: These strings (*_txt) are placeholders for ufopedia-descriptions used in the code and are the ones that where recently added/changed in the game.

Sorry for the Italian translation, it is too hard for me to make it because there are really too many specific words that I don't know how to translate, expecially if not seen in their context, and I am unable to download the new version of UFO:AI as my town is not covered by ADSL!

Be cerativ... Translating to slovenian vas also very dificult.. Take a bolter rifle for example... How to translate it? I made translation like that:

In the WW2 was there a best sniper rifle ever, Mauser rifle. Slovenians also called it Mauzerca, so if we have here bolter rifle, i simply called it Bolterca...

Simple as that...

BTW, what does the bolter rifle look like, i newer saw it in 0.12 beta!?
