Translating UFOAI / UFOAI Ãœbersetzen

Hey guys i'm a completely noob concerning compiling and programming. can anyone explain me how to translate the game using WinXp. I have no idea how to deal with "po files" or how to cope with "gettext" or "poedit"


Hallo ich hab leider keine ahnung wie ich mit den ganzen "po files" umgehen soll bzw was ich damit machen soll.

ich will einfach nur das spiel auf deutsch spielen , kann mir irgendjemand schritt für schritt erklären was ich genau zu tun hab ??

well, then ask specific questions and i'll try to update the wiki in a way that (at least i hope so) this topic gets clearer....

okay, i got the program poedit , the german po-file "de.po" and the ai.pot file
and no idea what to do (and what specific question to ask)

PS: Ich bin Deutscher....
