see the screenshot. notice how 'the commonwealth of oceania' is truncated, even though it is far enough from the side of the screen. maybe
it would be better if nation captions would not be shortened and recentered when they do not fit in the screen ? (that is, they would truncate at the end of the screen, but not in full words and get recentered).

same behaviour is also on the left side of the screen, though to a lesser extent.

can't confirm the fix in revision 21081 - while some instances of the problem are slightly obscured by current hud, it's still there

this issue is still alive in current trunk (r27126) - it's just that the state names are not truncated, but broken into single chars with one char on each line.

I think it is fixed in r27129
I only remove text box to allow to draw the text outside.

The text half-outside is not a problem:
1) user never read it -> then we must not disturb him with new text layout, or blinking thing like that when he move zoom... the map
2) If he really want to read he can move the map
