Steps to reproduce this issue
The above error is when I'm running the locally compiled binary. It breaks into the debugger
When running the binary from a make install (Why oh why is there no corresponding make uninstall?????) It does not break into the debugger but displays a not responding dialog, though continues to load. Once loaded it will crash on starting a campaign (no gdb for getting the backtrace but looks to be a memory corruption issue due to the non asciee text in the "Failed to open bfd from..." messages)
