There are a lot of inconsistencies regarding our Soldiers, Aliens & Civilians filenames...
You can find almost anything there...
Often head textures are named head01, head02, head03 & so on & body textures are named body01a body01b body01c. That would be a logical system.
But in many folders you can find all of this mixed.

Just one example here:
The female folder:

This naming scheme is really confusing as it follows NO logic @ all, & it gets even more weird when you compare naming schemes of the other folders. All should be made consistent for easy readability. I could do that if you like me to, but I could now really use some write rights for the svn... ;)

have you ever worked with svn?
====== mcr2010 (2010-04-28 10:04:34) ======

No.
====== mcr2010 (2010-04-28 10:13:55) ======

But I have made quite some patches with Tortoise & am quite sure to know how to use the Win Explorer... ;)

if you request svn wite access (and i'm willing to give it to you) you have to read the svn guidelines in our wiki - you may also please only work on a branch that i would create for you and i would merge it back into the trunk.

That is even a better solution for me. So @ least you will actually SEE my stuff. This is all I ever wanted ;)
How often would you do such a merge ?

====== mcr2010 (2010-04-28 10:48:39) ======

But do you really think a 'own branch' is necessary for me ?
I thought with svn you can easily revert all my changes @ any time anyway...
No ?
====== tlh2000 (2010-04-28 13:27:23) ======

every few days as time allows - and yes, imo a branch is the best
====== mcr2010 (2010-04-30 04:54:28) ======

I am a teamworker.
I would feel really lonely when having my own branch just for me & it would not change much for me, as I am having my own branch @ home for a long time now with increasing graphical differences compared to the trunk version...

====== mcr2010 (2010-05-15 12:03:07) ======

I will take on this task in the near future if noone disagrees...
Thanks again for welcoming me to the team ! :)

we should discuss layout changes on the mailinglist. start a topic and let's collect suggestions there.
