The current code selects the *first* 8 soldiers in the base on base defense.
That establishes a huge problem in some situations. Cosider the following scenario:

You have 8 soldiers, go to some mission, returning half dead and got to the hospital.
So you hire 8 new soldiers.
Then there is a base attack.
You end up fighting with the zombies from the hospital or a shortage of weapons because the soldiers in the hospital are still equipped.
You'd probably lose the battle. NOT acceptable.

What we need is
1. a GUI to let the player select who should fight
2. an auto-unequip feature to get the weapons

great job :) An important milestone on the way to reduce the power of medikits.

As you implemented the *full* solution, you can simply forget about 2. above (that was merely a co-requisite for some 'small' solution I thought of).
