What about having a button >>| on the geoscape and battlescape hud to advance to the next random music track of the respective playlist (battlescape/geoscape currently)?

Technically this would easily be possible and players and developers have asked for some control over the music that is played repeatedly.
With this addition the player would be able to advance to the next random track with 1 click if he does not like the track that was chosen or simply wants to advance to the next track, because he has enough of the loop.

I would volunteer to script this. :)
Any suggestions are welcome.

It could be done quite quickly, I see no problem in integrating this to 2.4 also.

I would just have to make the button (normal/hoovered/clicked), find a nice place for the button on the geoscape, the alternative and normal HUD (as H-Hour's is unfinished anyway and will be removed) and script the stuff in the respective .ufo files.

Already implemented for the MiniHUD (battlescape only for now).
