Description
[http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/feature-requests/516 Item 516] imported from sourceforge.net tracker on 2013-01-28 20:22:06

Hello,

For Version and hardware information, please see the attached file version_info.txt

A feature request related to the screens where you equip soldiers. On these pages, you drag and drop items from your stock into the inventory of each soldier (alternatively, you right-click on the item that you'd like to equip).

For each item that you can equip, there's an image. Next to the image, there's the quantity (x4, for instance). Under each image, there's the name of the item ("Frag Grenade", for example). If you left or rightclick on the image itself, things work as expected: the item is moved to the soldier inventory. However, if you click on the name of the item, nothing happens.

For Frag grenades, the name / label is bigger than the actual image itself (the same holds true for a lot of ammo). This is annoying.

The feature request: make the text (the caption of the image) behave in the exact same way as the image itself.

Regards,

Guus

Apologies - only now I see that the SourceForge tracker has a "feature request" tracker too. I'm unable to move this issue. Can an admin do this?

I don't know... it's a drop of water into the ocean. And probably more work to do than it worths.

Let's ask bayo what he thinks about it.

Yes the label should be active, and it should be easy to fix.

But i dont think we can do a lot of thing to fully display labels, cause we dont have a lot of control on the font, and it it depand of the language we use (we can't custom some many cases).
Anyway, the tooltip should work. The idea is after few time of play, the user will remember the image.
