There is a patch "[ 1560850 ] patch for showing radar coverage when building new base",
so I expect this feature to work.

But I don't see any 'radar-circles' around the cursor
when placing my first base.

Maybe the patch 1560850 only shows the range of active radar.

Then make this bugreport a feature-request, to show the (active+potential)
radar-range around all bases, plus a 'radar-circle' around the cursor.

as there might be different radar ranges, this won't work very well.
