The biggest thrill I got from the original UFO was the fact that one was never sure if there would be an alien shot fired, when one took even one step.

Now I miss this thrill, because as it seems the aliens do not use autofire. This should be changed. Even in the easiest game difficulties one should somehow be shot by surprise.

This is a duplicate of "1555245", since I called autofire for some reason. I'm sorry. However in the latest version I played from mattn's site, the aliens did not one single reactionfire in 20 batlles of "normal"-mode.

Yes I m voting for this too.
Aliens and soldiers should also crounch - this position should increase thier accuracy.
And sometimes lay down - this should give 30% more accuracy but verry slow movement.

The civilians aliens and soldiers should have "panic mode". How about the civil take a gun ?

About civis and models - where are the chirdlrend and pets (dogs cats) ?

Yes it ist, I played 3 hours in a row in standard mode, but go no reactionfire from the aliens at all.

I agree with that too, reaction fire of the aliens was an important consideration when planning to get into a room, or even making any other move.
I also agree wil the concept of lying down and shooting, needless to say that this (lying down and getting up) should cost a great deal in terms of Action Points.

I Agree, a nasty surprise walking past the wrong window could get about 2 clear inches of air between my buttocks and the seat. Or the muton that takes down 4 soldiers poking their noses out of the skyranger. The key in Enemy Unknown was that there was a reaction fire stat that judge a units ability to get off a shot. sometimes you could walk right upto a commander with a stun rod while he was fumbling to un-engage the safety catch on his plasma rifle. I like the idea that a crack company can setup ambush with the likelyhood that a shot will be fired but perhaps a quick footed sheevar could nimbly run past your nose and drop a grenade in your pocket first.

The way I see it is TU's could be traded for % chance of reaction fire with bonus soldier multiplier stat. E.G. 10 tu's = 10% chance of rection fire 20tus = 20% and a soldier has inherhent ability e.g 1.5 out of 5 = 1.5 multiplier. 10 tu's + 1.5 multiplier = 15% chance of reaction fire??? Possible? We've gotta get that revenge going to restore companies honour - poor Galina Scharov get that Ethereal!!!
