Good point.

Clarifying wording should be considered as well.
"Exit" could mean (exit this dialogue and take me back to my game in progress).

"Exit game?" <click> "you sure?" <ok...>

Return, Exit, Close, Quit, Cancel.

Generally its tricky to use short single verbs in cases like these.

When going from inside a game to the menu part a "Exit|Quit|Close|Cancel Game" would be best, but is (probebly) to long for the current gfx game use.

"Quit" sound a little better in this case than "Exit", but that adds a additional other word to the gui system.
"Quit" in this case is kind a like ... "Exit Menu" AND "Exit Game"
While "Exit" is a very inviting word to click on ... to "Exit the Menu" TO "Return to the Game" (human habits die hard)
