In the ol` x-com the squad began the mission inside the
craft. The first soldier had to open the craft door in
order to get out, and in some cases an alien shot him
while opening the door >:)
Anyway, I would prefer aranging my squad myself, rather
than let the game arange the soldiers around the craft.
That in the missions where is a craft (I noticed that
in some cases the craft isn't on the map)

I agree with this, I like having my soldiers easy to group.
The way UFOAI starts them out, you have to have one catch up
to the other, and waiting like that can cost civilian lives
and loose the player points.

I like the benefit of not having to march all my sardines out of the can they came in. I mean really they are all going to end up massed outside the ship anyways. I'm not in favour of changing this.

Trying to get your squat team out of the ship wile there are a couple of aliens nearby taking pot shots at you is fun to. (unless you forgot to take some smokers with you) ;)

It makes sense to have the squad out and surrounding the ship to start. It is kind of like their SOP is to secure the drop site
