Currently, the button for reaction-fire shows
the status (reaction-fire on/off) with a lighter
or darker icon for the button.

But that difference does not stand out.

It would be more visible if the button had
an indicator on it, say an "R+" when reaction-fire
is activated.

In current SVN code there are two icons (bright green) right
next to the mouse cursor that indicate if
*) Reaction Fire and
*) Crouching
are activated.

If you can compile from svn (or wait unti.l the next RC4
xdelta) please report if this is obvious enough or if there
is still something more needed. I'll update the status of
the request accordingly.
