Issue description

Version: 2.4 OS: Win 7 64; intel core i3 laptop Scr res: 1600*900

Possibly related to: https://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/3071/ - game disconnects after killing an alien with candlelight) https://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/2948/ - see the last comment referring to return fire with flames

I was in busy in a turn based battle when one of my soldiers did a return candle with its flame thrower when the battle crashed and returned me to the world view. I don't know whether the world view was playable as I closed the game.

Finally when exiting the application the log window won't close, pressing quit keeps adding text to the log.

I have not yet tried to reproduce the issue.

mattn: I feel like you and I have had problems with the flamer in multiplayer before. Is it possible this has anything to do with the needler causing a crash? The flamer is, to my knowledge, the only other weapon with a large number of shots per firemode.
