Description
[http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/307 Item 307] imported from sourceforge.net tracker on 2013-01-28 18:18:28

In some cases, the Battleground has no enemies in it. I
read it in the statistics after the battle.

This error is not reproduceable.

System : Debian (etch)

But do you see then on the battlefield? Which map? Could you
attach ufoconsole.log (even better, when playing with ./ufo
+set developer 1).

I do know of a bug where if you select multiplayer from the
main menu then exit that and enter singleplayer the game can
potentially get confused and think you are playing the
campaign in "multiplayer" mode. This can result in strange
behavior, like spawning with 4 soldiers in the wrong spot
with no enemies. Is this potentially what you saw?

The bug I mentioned in my previous comment is now fixed in
trunk and in stable branch. Unless it is a map/mission
specific bug I can't think of any other explanation for the
reported behavior.

I'm closing this as "works for me".

Please re-open if anyone encounters it again (in trunk or
stable branch... or the soon to be released RC6).

PS: Of course starting a multiplayer server and joining a
game without an opponent will also lead to an a battlefield
with no enemies.
