dfbc281d0a6e6541b8557dfa1483d27d937f76a5 "Consistent handling of r_texturemode" commit broke console font rendering on my system, they are white boxes now only, see the screenshot.

My system:
Debian 6.0 (stable - Squeeze) Linux 2.6.32-5-686
AMD AthlonXP 2000+ (1667MHz)
ATi Radeon 9600, OpenSource drivers (X.Org X Server 1.7.7)
