Description
[http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/2959 Item 2959] imported from sourceforge.net tracker on 2013-01-28 19:54:51

Maps are rendered as all black now when I enable GLSL shaders. All brushes and entities are black, but I see the circle outlines under the soldiers and on bunker map I saw the light coronas.

I believe this has happened with the soft lighting commits, but I can't be sure. Definitely a commit from today.

I'm on ATI.

I've attached an edited version of the ufoconsole.log. The actual log was 65,000 lines. You will see the lines that were replicated tens of thousands of times, but I've kept the beginning and end.

Screenshot of everything black

this can't have been a commit from today - nothing was changed on the renderer/shaders. have you tried to go back to yesterday to make this 100% sure?

the shaders compile fine, but the uniforms aren't found

maybe some cvar combination messes this up - please also share your config.cfg

Another possibility is that I did r_fog 1 in the console to try and get fog activated...

there is also - https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3384341&group_id=157793&atid=805242 - but this report is about black rendering when fog is turned off...

Should be fixed by 52d8bcfb802097

It was a problem with a new shader preprocessor -- it skipped code between #else and #endif even when #if cvar was false.

So, setting r_programs 1 & r_postprocess 0 caused world/models shader to not write pixels at all, causing black picture.
