Description
[http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/275 Item 275] imported from sourceforge.net tracker on 2013-01-28 18:15:21

As of 2.0RC4, the gamma slider works in the Windows
build. However, there are a number of issues still to
be resolved:

- Gamma gets lighter when the slider is moved to the
left, darker when the slider is moved to the right. One
would expect this to be the other way around.
- When very close to the left edge of the slider, gamma
is not set, and the error "SetDeviceGammaRamp failed"
appears in the console. The same is true for the right
edge of the slider, but gamma does appear to be set.
- When setting the gamma, exiting the game and
restarting it, the main menu will often be reset to the
default gamma (not always!). Interestingly, on my dual
monitor system the second monitor properly retained the
old gamma setting.

The above is true for my system: AMD Athlon64 3000+,
1GB RAM, ATi Radeon 9800Pro with two monitors attached.
