I'm not sure why that's happening, perhaps Duke can shed some light on this. In the meantime I've placed an actorclip over the area to try and force the pathfinding to disallow movement through that wall.

More info for a coder: in the stair well, there are hand rails that are marked as passable, but the wall itself is not marked passable. That's all I can think of that would be causing the odd behavior.

That's weird. Even the actorclip doesn't prevent them from walking through that wall.
I don't think it's a map bug. Maybe something buried deep down in the bsp code :(

Good news: I got it to work by lowering the upper edge of that wall by one mapunit. And could remove the actorclip.

Bad news: I have no clue yet *why* this works. Ok, the wall stretches to a height of 512, which is the border of the whole map. But that's perfectly legal afaik. And the other walls around there have the same height and work as designed.

@nate: the mapcompile speedup I introduced recently works particularily well for this map (because of the high number of lights). About ten times faster :)

Wow, I somehow missed your post on this two months ago duke! Thanks for taking a look at this. So, is the change already made in trunk, or should I make the change?

Nice to hear the mapcompile is sped up with all the lights. I haven't tried a compile in ages but will do so soon.

City is being removed for 2.4 and will be reworked before being reintroduced, so setting this to pending.
