Description
[http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/231 Item 231] imported from sourceforge.net tracker on 2013-01-28 18:15:21

Sometimes when spotting an alien, the wrong soldier is
indicated.
E.g. one man stands up (so he gets a better view),
but the red line goes from the alien to another soldier.

This is hard to document because it happens really fast,
but I got a screenshot:
The soldier in the lower right corner is using his
IR-goggle and successfully spots an alien on first floor.
But the red line leads to someone in the left corner.

Thanks for your notes on this issue (I had noticed crouching/standing could lead to this behavior but I did not realise irgoggles use could too). Basically the code plotted the visibility lines from any new entities that appeared to the actor that it thought last "moved". However the code only treated actual walking or turning as movement, not standing/crouching or use of a weapon/tool by one of your team-members.

SVN trunk revision 4913 should fix this bug (I tested for the IR goggles case and also crouching/standing).
