open aircraft equipment, select a slot with a weapon installed.
install another weapon, notice how ammo changes accordingly. remove this item - previous item is restored, but ammo is not (thus one can get shiva equipped with sparrowhawks etc)

still can't _quite_ confirm ;)
while weapon is correctly restored, and ammo for that weapon also, ammo type is not.
first ammo in the list is always used, ignoring previous selection.

for example :
1. have both shiva api and hei rounds available, and shiva installed.
2. assign hei rounds to shiva
3. install some other weapon on top of it
4. remove this weapon - api rounds are used.

additional nitpicking - if user saves after step 3. and loads, performing step 4. should restore hei rounds.
