svn r1570 on Gentoo Linux.
When trying to enter mission on map villaged(Grenchen or
Albany), I get folloving error in console:

Just a general question:
Did you compile the bsp-files of the maps? (type "make" in
base/maps) OR downloaded the map-pack from
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ufoai/ufoai-2.0-RC1-mappack.tar.bz2?download
and copied it to the base dir?

That aside i don't think we have a map that is called
maps/7.bsp. I'll have a look into this.

Yes, maps are compiled and copied to base/maps, for example
japan works.

copied? there are already there from SVN and the compiled
images are created in base/maps..

The interesting thing for me is that the bug only appears
with "make release" (see
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1511897&group_id=157793&atid=805242).
This is why I thought this may be already solved for the
original submitter, who probably uses just "make".

In revision 1681 the "make release" problems start earlier,
though --- the airship has always (0/8) soliders, regardless
of whom I assign to it, so I cannot even start a tactical
mission.
