Hi people!

Due to increased spamming activities, I had to turn forum user activation to manual. If you just registered, please log on to our IRC channel and drop a note that you would like your user to be activated. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Discussion / FuzzyScreen Overlay

FuzzyScreen overlay, the "textile" like effect on the new UI received some criticism since it was added. To decide whether it should stay or go I would like to see how the opinions distribute. Please vote!

@sitters: if you could redo models from this list that would be great.

mattn, coilgun and xaw95 ammo models are probably a bug in LICENCES file only. They're parts of TrashMan's models I think... (which are CC-BY-SA 3.0)

Compatibility Announces

This topic was opened for beta testers/players who are playing with the current development snapshot (at time of writing 2.3-dev).

As the game evolve we may break savegame compatibility occasionally for the greater good. The aim of this topic is to notify you about the changes and give hints about rescuing your saves if possible.

Feature Requests / MAX_CREDITS

Why are credits maximized?

Code: [Select]
cl_campaign.c:4041:#define MAX_CREDITS 10000000

If it's a technical limit (for ex. range checking) it should be higher IMHO.

Linux / linux problems, no language
« on: February 05, 2008, 06:56:42 pm »

I've found your game last week. Let me gratulate, it's very good!

However I have some trouble with the linux version:
First I've downloaded the "installer" which didn't run. It was complaining about missing curl4 library. I have a Debian stable (4.0) system which contains only curl3. I tried to make a symlink on the library which seemed to work at least for this problem. The next was about GLIBC2.4... At this point I've decided to compile it for my system.

I downloaded the latest 2.2 source from svn, compiled it (configure;make;make install), then unpacked the ufoai-data package to the requested dir. I've started the game. Works, just the language is 'No Language', and there are no more options in the menu. The language files exists, in /usr/local/share/ufoai/base/i18n just the game can't recognize them, maybe. Can you help me solving this problem?
