Currently the creation of a UI using the lua binding requires a lot of programming and typing, whereas the ufo script style for creating the UI typically had more direct feedback on the structure of the UI. Lua allows to create tables on the fly. Tables can be used to mimic the hierarchic structure ufo script allows.

Improvement can be made by adding lua functions that accept a lua table, describing a hierarcy of nodes and properties and events (?), and creating a UI node using the api of the lua binding.

The solution must take care that maintenance of the lua binding and the lua code responsible for translating the table->api calls is easy or preferably automated.
