Description

Tests would load image data but never free it. When the test cleanup
deleted the memory pools, it would leave hanging pointers. When
new images were loaded, the pointers would be dereferenced and cause
a segfault.

Are you ging to move this into test_shared as well, same as patch #694, Fix testall crash by resetting particles? No objections if so.

i tried it - but it didn't work (segfault on shutdown)

if you have the time, please move it into shared and submit a new patch. thanks
