I'd like if there was a way to see how many items (total AND available) of each there are in the base, including those currently equipped on soldiers or aircraft. I hate looking at the buy screen and wondering how many grenades I should buy because the screen lists some numbers, but doesn't tell me how many are currently equipped on my soldiers. So I need to go to the soldier equip screen and check, go back to the buy screen to stock up, then go back to the aircraft screen to see how much ammo I have left... *yawn*

All this running back and forth could be avoided if there was an additional column in the item screens (both buy/sell and production), labeled either 'available' or 'in use'. It really only needs to be either of those - I don't mind doing a little mental arithmetics - but I need to see how many of an item are 'gone' from inventory due to being equipped.

geever tells me a feature where the items that are currently in use are subtracted from the totals is in the works. That would be useful to keep from selling weapons out of your soldiers' hands, but I'd still like to be able to see the total (in use and available) as well. Maybe if you don't want two columns, you could show it as X/Y (available/total)?

Closing because there are already plans to implement most of this. The extra bit would add unnecessary information to an already complex window.

I don't think being able to see both available and total quantities is unnecessary information. There are times when I want to see either or both. I also don't think the buy/sell or production window is that complex. Can you point me to where I can see what the planned changes are exactly?

We plan merging Transfer and Market screens because basically it is the same thing.

Also I don't see a reason to see how many like frag grenades are equipped on any soldiers on a base. Seeing how many XY has is important -> Equipment screen, seeing how much spare is in the stores (equipped items discounted or removed from the storage) is important -> (should be) total in Market, but number of equipment assigned to soldiers in total: WHY?

So I can plan how much I have to keep in reserve. If my soldiers carry 24 grenades total, I need to keep a bigger stockpile for reloading than if the entire team only has 8, for example. It's especially annoying for alien equipment that you get primarily or exclusively as drops when you sell the wrong number because you couldn't tell how many of it are in use.
