steps to reproduce:

* produce something (schedule many objects to achieve
long production time).
* research something

when you get "produced" alert-log, go to the research
screen and see that there was no aleret-log when
researched.

It may be possible that the produced items and the research
were completed simultaneously (in RC5 checks of progress for
thse things are done only once a day at 0000 hours). If you
view the messages in the log, do you see a note about the
research being completed immediately prior to the production
complete note? If so then it is porbably just a matter of
fixing the display of messages to show multiple messages
together sharing the same time-stamp. If not it probably
requires a more advanced investigation/fix.

OK, it isn't straightforward as I thought (but it still
occurs quite often). I managed to reproduce using the
following example:

* I'm researching Plasma Blade (0%, 19 scientists)
* I'm producing Plasma Blaster charge (2 units, 12 workers -
the production maybe has started a while ago)

Then I get "produced"-info. And no "research"-info (also it
doesn't appear in log-history, meanwhile I have research
info in the console)
