Hey !
Onee of the reasons I did so many sub-animation-sets is to avoid repetition by having the ability of animation combination & individualization & so allowing for much more variability for the whole of the animation. Ressourcewise each subanimation is just a part of the whole & the renderer has just to process those few pixel, while the rest is alpha-channel. That is the reason, why those sub-animations are so small even though lossless pngs are used for each frame. But I am digressing, sorry.

What I could use to further enhance variability would be a material-system command like 'animrnd' that executes each frame chosen by a random generator. This would further give us the possibility to avoid repetitions completely for some sub-animations (mostly buttons), whose animationframes could be executed randomly.

Something like:
animrnd [number of frames] [animation speed]
