A more advanced form of laser that fires high powered laser "pulses" that are considerably more powerful than the older Continuous Wave Laser and is able to penetrate much tougher armor and inflict more tissue damage. Each class of this weapon (Pistol, Rifle, Heavy) would use a variation of another technology (Micro Fission Battery) rather than a standardized DF cartridge and could be refueled or recharged rather than needing to be disposed by HASMAT teams like the Deuterium Fluoride . This weapon would require considerable amounts of research , funding and only be available as a late game weapons family. There should be four weapons; Pulse Laser Pistol, Pulse Laser Rifle, Scatter Pulse Laser (essentially a Laser Shotgun) and the Gatling Laser. Unlike the older Lasers, Pulse Lasers should not be completely useless when the target is surrounded by fire, gas or smoke but the weapons would suffer from reduced accuracy and lethality.
