It would be nice if I could chose whether or not all of
the items are sold after a mission. I'm going to be
researching most of the alien tech eventually anyway,
so it would be nice to actually have some of the stuff
from a mission instead of buying it back or producing
it later.

IMO it could be somehow defineable _per_kind_of_item_ what
to do after gathered them at the end of the mission.

Case study : i will be heavily using tachyon sniper rifle so
i do not want to sell clips for this, yet i have three
tachyon sniper rifles and need no more, so sell all gathered
from new missions.

There could be a 'store' page at the base, where one could
set anything regarding equipment; let it be for the
beginning "sell/don't sell" per item with some default
settings. Default settings would be to save one piece of
newly gathered equipmenent for research purpose and sell
anything more.

I just remember in the xcom games, you kept everything, and
you had the option to sell it if you wanted. I'd say that,
unless your store room is full, you would want to keep
everything to use. I'm guessing that it's the same price to
buy things back as it is to sell them, though, so this
really isn't a huge deal either way... it should be
configurable, though, like you said.

Yes. Either a "sell or keep" items screen (you could always sell them later, but this way you wouldn't have to hunt for them.) Or just let them sell from inventory buy/sell.

Xcom apocalypse had a market economy. The more you buy of something the more you drive the price up. If everything is automatically sold. (buy and sell at different prices) you could potentially lose money by selling by default.

I have implemented this in revision 6545. In the buy/sell menu you can decide whether autosell this kind of item or not. When collected item is not yet researched, it is automaticaly added to base storage, not sold. This feature will be available in upcoming 2.1 release.
