Description
[http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/3375 Item 3375] imported from sourceforge.net tracker on 2013-01-28 20:08:16

the configure script is saved with dos line endings. In ubuntu 12.04 when you run ./configure the interpenter (bash by default) reports

"bash: ./configure: /bin/sh^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory"

One fix is to open the configure script with vi or vim and save it with ":set fileformat=unix"

this is not the case here - it's clean in the repo and it was developed on my linux machine - so i don't think there are any dos line endings included. also

sed -i 's/\r//g' configure

did not reveal any modifications (git diff) after execution.

In that case It would be imho a good idea too add a notice in the wiki a
notice for people who get that issue (like me)?
