Computer : Kubuntu 11.04
Version : "UFO: Alien Invasion 2.4-dev AMD64 Jan 15 2012 Linux DEBUG"

On the campaign interface, a "landed UFO" mission will transform into a "crash UFO" if a SAM missile hit it after the landing.

maybe related, but I saw one ufo landing (harvester) way outside SAM range, but it was called 'Crashed UFO'.. The symbol on geoscape was clearly a landing site, not a crash site.
