not enough spawn points in those maps. please attach the ufoconsole.log in the future
====== aduke1 (2011-11-27 11:59:25) ======

Additional spawnpoints have been added to several maps recently.
Do you still get this error ?
====== gren01 (2011-11-27 21:36:30) ======

The answer here is yes.. I thought I had replied to this but it seemed to have not registered.. anyway - the error happens with maps of Industrial theme, particularly in missions involving un-crashed alien ships, although not limited to those missions. The unique character number seems to vary between maps-that-crash. One map crashes regularly with this error and with a 'bad routing lump' error. Map in question is A Suburban District of an Oriental Area. (Mission Objective - not the map name) My latest build is 1322239695 25/11/2011

Attached Screen-shot of end of log. The mission is using map "UFO_Landed" and is a harvesting mission using the industrial theme. Rebuilt yesterday to 1322419209.

@Gren: I suppose this has been fixed by now. Did it happen again ?

@Nate: don't you have a script to display the properties of all the maps ?
Does it include the # of spawnpoints ?
====== natewr (2012-11-02 12:19:36.087000) ======

I know that ShipIt added a bunch of spawn points to maps a while ago, but I don't remember exactly when. In order to fix this, we need to know the map from the ufoconsole.log. The map shown in the one ufoconsole.log Gren provided is industrial, so we can check on that one. But my script only checks the properties of mapdefs in the UFO files. Even if we had a script to find this info in each BSP, it depends on the particular assembly for RMA maps.
====== aduke1 (2012-11-02 18:43:59.561000) ======

Nm. We have a cunit test that walks through all possible RMA combinations.
I guess I could expand that to count the # of spawnpoints.

What is the definition of 'enough spawnpoints' ?
