Description
[http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/3009 Item 3009] imported from sourceforge.net tracker on 2013-01-28 19:58:38

Build 1316589460
In every base, when trying to either select, add or remove solders from/to a drop-ship, cursor control is lost and it seems as if the screen is frozen.. but the cursor (mouse) control is in the background when running in a window. Clicking outside the game window and then in the game window, briefly allows a single move.

Using the ESC key, returns to previous screen and mouse/cursor control is passed back.

Screen-shot attached to identify screen affected.

Well I have tried changing the screen resolution - testing with various settings and with varying levels of success. At the moment I am running the game with my original choice of 1024x768 windowed. The games is playable but the problem is quite annoying. Sometimes locking up the Geosphere screen and in some cases temporary lock-out of some mission maps for periods of between 10 and 15 seconds. This never used to happen before switching to git.. has there been some kind of compile condition which affects the game display? Also, because you are unable to reproduce the error on Vista, doesn't mean to say that it doesn't exist. I have also tried setting the game to run under compatibility mode (various OSs) but that doesn't seem to have any effect either.

Gren, try enabling Pre-cache models option and compiling mdx-es for models via "make models" and report back please.
