That being the case, I've added the full ufoconsole log file in case there is something useful in there. Debugging has been enabled, so the log file is pretty hefty and had to be zipped up.

Both maps were created by you weren't them?

Please check other maps with rescue zones, maybe trigger_rescue works differently than you expected.

That's not just rendering. The zone itself is inside the box, not inside the firebird.

+hills had the rescue zone problem way before rescue zones were made visible. It's possible the other problems also existed, but they were not reported, at least that I know of.

The interesting thing is that from the +forest screenshots it seems the rescue zone placement varies, but in +hills it's always in the same place.

Does the same problem occur in other RMA maps?

Is it possible to tie the rescue zone to a specific tile and specific squares inside that tile? This would lock it into the dropship models, since they are placed the same in relation to their own tile.

Or is it something ion the RMA code that also treats the rescue zone as a randomized object and then places it anywhere that will fit? That would account for the different screenshots.

The reason of +hills situation is using fixed tiles, so the main bone always the same. If you edit hills.ump, you will be able to see the zone in different places.

yes, set sv_send_edicts to 1 (this is a cheat cvar, so also set sv_cheats to 1 __before__ you start the map)
