My radar picked up a site in Russia. When I went there, my agents spent a lot of time wandering around the map but found no aliens. The mission didn't seem to end on its own. I aborted and tried again, same problem. When I encountered this same map another time, also same problem.

I investigated and noticed that in base/ufos/maps.ufo the section for "lake_ice_big" has no maxaliens value, even though other maps around it do have a line for that. I added "maxaliens 8" to the definition (I picked the number arbitrarily), then loaded my savegame and tried the mission again, and then there were aliens to kill and the mission ended normally.
