I loaded a save with version ufoai-2.4-dev-1305475972. Immediately upon loading the battle, the game crashed with an assertion failure. console log excerpt below. Full console log, savegame and assertion failure error screenshots included.

What I've just said in for another bug report just fits here too:

"I remember there was issues with battlescape if the game wasn't restarted
after changing certain video settings. So you could try exiting after
*changing video settings* and restart he game."
