Description
[http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/2834 Item 2834] imported from sourceforge.net tracker on 2013-01-28 19:50:51

Symptom:
When the 'enter' button is clicked to start a tactical battle, nothing happens and the player is returned to the Geoscape.

How to reproduce:
Attempt to initiate a tactical battle on Linux UFO.

Game:
UFOAI 2.3.1 nov 29 2010 RELEASE. Installed from the official .deb downloaded from Sourceforge.

System:
Debian-ish Linux, kernel 2.6.36.

Relevant console output:
------- Loading game.so -------
not found at '/usr/lib/ufoai'
not found at '/home/johan/.ufoai/2.3.1/base'
not found at './base'
not found at '/usr/share/ufoai/base'
********************
ERROR: failed to load game library
********************
Shutdown server: Server crashed.

Comment:
game.so located in /usr/lib/games/ufoai/base.

Likely cause:
The game developers and the .deb maintainer do not agree on where game.so should go.

Possible fix:
Symlink. For a permanent solution, I suggest the official .debs be changed so that game.so ends up in the correct directory.

Cheers.
