When moving mouse on upper edge of screen (or clicking button in right upper corner) menu drops with noticeable lag (1-2 sec). Versions 2.3, 2.4-dev (Win,Lin)

It's always shows ~35 FPS. When I move mouse into message area, game freeze (1-2 sec), FPS counter is not updated in this time. After menu drop game running as normal. I thought it`s Unicode isuue (https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3022002&group_id=157793&atid=805242), but switching to English didn't help (unlike Ufopaedia).

I think it's the unicode issue.

We save the messages as they are. So If you have messages in Russian, changing the Language to English will only affect the new messages not the old ones.

Does it happen if you enlarge the messagebox with the icon on the corner of the sidebar too?

yes, when I clicking on icon, menu enlarges with same delay, cursor freeze too

I'm 95% sure it it the same as http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3022002&group_id=157793&atid=805242 (unicode issue).

If it happens on an English game too (no unicode messages in geoscape-log), reopen.
