Description
[http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/2598 Item 2598] imported from sourceforge.net tracker on 2013-01-28 19:39:33

I'm using Lucid 64 on a Turion 64 and a Radeon Xpress 1150. Every time when entering a Level of svn revision 30668 (trunk) UFO: AI crashes with
"Failed to allocate :
size : 5264 bytes
alignment : 32 bytes
domains : 2"
several times ( http://pastebin.com/Hb5FcqaF ). Then
"drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -12. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info."

dmesg:
[ 6228.591166] [drm:radeon_gem_object_create] *ERROR* Failed to allocate GEM object (1277952, 2, 4096, -12)
[ 6237.856979] [drm:radeon_cs_ioctl] *ERROR* Failed to parse relocation -12!
This continues for a long time, see
http://pastebin.com/vUbHP2CN

uname: Linux 2.6.32-23-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP x86_64
svn revision: 30668
xserver-xorg: 1:7.5+5ubuntu1

i think this is a driver bug, no ufo bug

Maybe this is a bug in lucid's version of the radeon drivers. I booted with radeon.modeset=0 and it works now.

Closing this then.
