When moving items between soldiers in the equipment screen, either the game crashes, or the wrong item is being moved.

1) Grab an item.
2) Press any number 1-8 to switch to another soldier.
3) Drop the item in any slot.

Sometimes an item of the same type is moved from within the new soldiers inventory. Sometimes the game crashes. I have yet to find out which exact action causes the crash and which only causes another item to be moved.

This happens in any campaign game I start.

Wow, the equipment menu was never meant working that way. You found something new! :)

We ask bayo if he can make it working that way but I bet it will end preventing soldier change while drag'n'dropping.

The crash is an assert happening if the area of the destination overlaps the source area (same container, different soldier):

ufo: src/client/menu/node/m_node_container.c:1508: MN_ContainerNodeDNDFinished: Assertion `fItem' failed.

The bug is reproducible with the latest trunk (r30598) too.

I inhibit keyborad (else ESC button) when we are drag-n-droping something
