1. start a new campaign
2. build a default base
3. fast forward until the first mission arrives
4. fly firebird into mission
5. mission will fully load and enter battlespace
6. press ESC key
7. click abort. nothing happens, unable to abort battlespace

Actually after I wrote the report. The defeat message came up and showed the statistics. its took 10 seconds to appear! and the CPU usage was negligable.
The time taken is too long, and the feed back to the user is poor.

There needs to be a message box indicating the rules for an abort. ie, all units not in the craft will be lost. and any other statistics that may be affected.
