I notice that, when I tell the base to launch missiles at in-range UFOs, they dont. Instead, the command seems to go to the first SAM.
I have no problem when there are no SAMs

Unfortunatly, I have no save where I have missiles in-base, as I would rather use the space for something else

actually the problem seems to be that you can't equip base defence with any rocket launcher - and without that you won't get it shooting. Installations seem to work - I actually could not try to have both base + sam working.

Another problem: installation does not equip weapon on finish, you have to do it manually.

Installations were prefered over base, this is fixed in revision 23401. An earlier revision brought back the category to buy AA51 launcher, you still have to equip launch pad correctly (can't be done automatically because we don't know which weapon to equip - there are/will be different launchers for rocket base defence/SAM.
