No such problem here. Make sure you have the latest revision and recreated pk3 packages if you had them.

If recreating pk3 solve the problem, there is a problem in the Makefile
Each time I upgrade the svn I do a "make pk3".
From this early morning I upgraded at least 6 time svn.
So I did at least 6 "make pk3"
If there is necessary to do "make clean" and recompile the whole game each time we upgrade svn, please, write it clearly somewhere.

I have always the "nearly" latest revision. When there is 30 revisions of the svn a day, I can't certify I use the latest. Between the time I update and the end of compilation, there is at least 3 or 4 "latest" revisions.

I use the game from the sourcedir, never compile pk3s. I can imagine that the game finds pk3 of other version (2.2.1?) if installed.

Anyway without more info I can't fix it. If you find out what causes that I/we maybe able to help. That warning doesn't appear here. Transfer menu is in base/ufos/menu_transfer.ufo:4 and the game finds it well here.

Is this still an issue? If so, could you find out what causes it?

tip: Running the game from command line shows where does it look for data files ("Adding game dir: " lines).

As I wrote before, the menu it was looking for should be defined in base/ufos/menu_transfer.ufo (line 4) (or in 0ufos.pk3)

I did:

cd SVNBASE/ufoai/base/ufos
rm menu_transfer.ufo
cd SVNBASE
svn up ufoai
---- > 'ufoai/base/ufos/menu_transfer.ufo' restauré (reloaded)
---- > svn 22427
cd ufoai
make pk3
---- > cd base; zip -u9 0ufos.pk3 ufos/menu_transfer.ufo
---- > adding: ufos/menu_transfer.ufo (deflated 71%)
---- > zip -d base/0ufos.pk3
---- >
---- > zip error: Nothing to do! (base/0ufos.pk3)
---- > make[1]: [base/0ufos.pk3] Error 12 (ignored)

make install
---- > ./install-sh -m 644 base/*.pk3 /usr/local/share/ufoai/base
---- >
---- > Copied pk3 files into /usr/local/share/ufoai and binaries into /usr/local/bin

cd ~
ufo

---- > Added packfile /usr/local/share/ufoai/base/0ufos.pk3 (90 files)

Same problem. But with the problem of base (see saved game crash) program crash

"Error: MN_DrawTextNode: Called without text or linkedList pointer"

Fixed in r22590.

Must I test r22589 for problem with aircraft weapons (bug 2573025) or r22590 for transfer menu (this bug) ?????

Up to you, just say me what to do to help the solution of the bugs.......

====== geever (2009-02-11 23:12:50) ======

You can test the latest it should work either. And you can close the bug if it's okay (if SourceForge allow it.)

-geever

Seems good for now. But other bug block and test are not complete. I try to close this and, if any, I'll open another bug report.
