Bugs in older version (2.4) / vanishing mission "underground pipe"

hello earth warrior's  :P

most off the time (before going to bed...)
if save when the firebird is going to a tactical mission
latter, when i load back the save all is fine, with the firebird targetting the mission

but it fails with the specific mission "underground pipe" a terror mission with a blue icon on the geoscape map

sometimes this mission popup again on the geoscape map
if i save again the same things will come again (target lost if loading a save file)

but i i stay in game and follow the line
the blue mission icon will vanished from the map but the firebird will stay on the target until the "enter" box

while on the way i saw the SAME mission on another region but the firebird stay on his first target
this mission run fines in itself the problem is only about the geoscape
after the mission the second spot where this was the same mission had vanished again

version 2.4 (linux debian from playdeb.net)
full campaign mode "standard"

i've found nothing usefull in the console.log
in the console i try loading differents save
the good one is slot4

when i saved the slot4
there was the firebird going to the pipe mission near korea
and another spot with the same mission in central india

(but you can see nothing when you load the save file)
and the firebird become "back to base" unstead of "going to mission"

by the way
??? how  can you open the compressed xml file

imho i see no link between binary integer max limit and the 1000000 counter
but i'm blocked to the same value

?? maybe a game feature

i don't think that the soldier equipment is a real problem
in each of my base i have a handfll of weapon/armor/grenades/... buyed on the international market

by the way if you transfer an aircraft you have the same problem and it is an important one
the plane lost his weapon/armor/electronics...

BUT if you sold the plane the equipment is sold automatically :o

hello

i wonder where the game is going on  ::)

actually i am in a standard campain in october 2084

* i've got the eigh bases
(2 for military actions + some workshop and labs and allien/ufo structures
1 big 5 x workshop
1 big 5 x labs
4 with radar, dragon interceptor and missile structure

* all the nations are exuberant and the virus ratio is 4%
(he jumpep from 3 to 4 after shooting a civilian walking in the middle of the line of fire in the reaction-fire turn

* i have researched everithing since august
(stun rod, gas grenade, ufo fighter and recon with the three ufo section(navigation, astro,...)
antimatter, all the alien weapons including the particles

* i've got the blanck screen "todo..." a month ago

* i've only a few allien terror  (2-3 by month)
and fewer (1-2) fliyng ufo to intercept (harvester and sometimes supply ship)

!!! i'm using more gaming time with workshop management and earning cash
than with fighting missions

??? did i have to find something more for reasearch and go one step in the game
or did i have to wait a few month before an allien strenthening
or ???

the cigale is only for ground base defense
you have to build a missile structure in you base and then install the cigale in

ufo is not a casino-game  ;D
why do you say it's impossible
- a counter problem/bug
- you are looking for a way to earn more money

IMHO the big problem is not the recrutement but the management of the soldier list
(i should say the lack of management tools...)

there's no way to sort the soldier list between the recruted ones and the candidats
no way to look for a speedy_close guy or a replacement sniper without checking the dozens of soldiers
that are waiting after a few month game

or to check a specific caracteristique between the recruts and the candidats

it's really painfull for me to check one by one when in need

renaming the soldier's name by adding codes (C/H/A/S/E...) is a little help

hello

by the way, what's the matter if your base is under attack by evils

i let some garnison/soldiers in the big bases ,
the ones without firebird (workshop or research ones...)
they are some weapons in stock but no link between the weapons and the soldiers

but how the "toys" will be assigned to the soldiers in case of base defense fighting

Dropships will not fit in small hangars, so you need 1 large hangar per dropship. A large hangar is 2x2 tiles big. Interceptors go into small hangars, 1 interceptor per hangar, ...

thanks for the tips, actually in 2.2 i found nowhere what sort of hangar you need for planes
i build large ones by default, sob  ;-)

a new question about planes

as far as i remember in xcom (i was young...)
you had to build 1 hangar by aircraft


in UFO i transferred/build several planes in bases with only 1 hangar
they all seems operational and i can send them in interception or commando strike

?? is it a feature to ease the space conflicts while building base
or is it a bug/not tested event

you are right the time counter never change while building planes
it seem the is a little problem there :-)

but while building other things (gun, sam, armor,...) you have a problem (not enough money, storage..)
if the time counter doesn't lower

another strange things about aircraft
if you transfer one between base it will be "naked" (without missile, electronic,...)
but i you sell it will be sold "full" with all is equipement

it will be better if sold "naked"
and transfered with "full options"


but overall, thanks to the guys for the nice work  ;)

Hello

I'm under XP (maybe ubuntu some times :-)
in the standard campain

i built workshops and can build many things (standard or new researched ones)

I've gone in the aircraft/produce frame and made AA sparrowhawk, ECM,...
all works fine

but no plane !!!

of course i have 1 empty big hangar waiting for the new plane
I've tried too with 2 hangars and a got plane in one of them

still unable to build one


i 've tried stiletto/Saracen/firebird/dragon(after research of course)
no one seems to be buildable

they are added to the work queue with a cost and the hour number
but the hour counters never decreased, even after a few days

?? did i missed something

or is it something to big to be build in base
