Don't disable console commands on releases
« on: May 03, 2015, 05:22:16 am »
I personally like to use cheats in games. If getting cheats in this game would make the developers have to divert time to write some extra code, I wouldn't bother asking for them. However, as far as I can tell, the commands are already in the game, just disabled for releases. Leaving them enabled wouldn't cost the developers any extra time.

You might think so, but cheats are only part of the debug code that is disabled on releases, there isn't a switch to "disable cheats" but one for "enable release", IMO it would take more work than is worth to enable cheats on releases, specially when you can easily get a dev version and play with cheats to your hearths content if that's your thing (plus other reasons to not enable the cheats that I don't need to go on about)

Well, if it would take time to re-enable the cheats, I agree it's not worth the effort, compared to all the other things you could be doing. Maybe later on in development.
