unselectable squares in a map
« on: May 07, 2012, 02:43:13 pm »
In ufo landed on a hill map, at the bend of the hill, there are squares that can't be selected, so a soldier cannot be ordered to walk into those squares. They can be passed through though. See screenshot, it's as if it was trying to point to a lower elevation inside the hill or something. Clicking on the left to choose different elevations does not help.

This is a known bug in in the pathfinding (bugreport on sourceforge). Actually happens on a lot of maps (worst case is small_house) but only on few squares, so priority is not very high atm.

Annoying is, opponents can move there. And if one stands on such a square, you cannot target him. Maybe Duke can tell an ETA for the fix.

If a squad member stands on that tile, you can target him. You have to carefully move the mouse slightly to the right, so the cursor jumps 1 level higher.

Rule #7: Never ever give an ETA in an OSS project ;)
