Dev2.3 - R24613 - debug asserts during aliens turn

System: WindowsXP - Win32
Build: R24613 (homebrew)

During aliens (or civilians) turn I got several debug asserts from g_ai.c line 516 - assert(dist);
As far as I understand it this happened while aliens (or civilians) tried to run away...
Assertion is ignorable and game runs fine thereafter...

Not reproducable but happened several times...

On one of my games I watched a alien on kerbalde kill a teammate and run away (ortnok killed a taman). Game crashed after that. Pretty weird.
