How to modify

Hi folks!

I'm a terrible computergame-player, but i love to play.

Now, here's my problem:

I want to edit some files (soldier stats, money, stuff like that), because i hate to learn from mistakes and play again and again and again to avoid the mistakes.

But how do i do this? I find the savegames on my mac, but when i open it with a text editer, it makes no sense. I opened the same file on my pc and tryed to edit it with a hexeditor, but again i found no sense in it.

So guys, how do i edit the files?

the savefiles are binary data - try to edit the script files - extract (it's a zip file - see the wiki) 0ufos.pk3 and edit the ufo script files (also see the wiki for more information)
