Hello..

While in playing, the game randomly speeds up and slows down.. so does the mouse.. itll move fine the jump across thee screen.. also  graphics do the same.. say   you see the map in high speed, the light  area would scroll smooth, then jump into fast forward and  slow down.. even in missions..  the soldiers  would walk at good speed and then just go nuts... i cant spin the     map smoothly itll spin then suddenly flip everything around 2 times..

any fixes ????

Assuming you are using the proprietry drivers for your 2xnvidia 7600gt system then I think you have more horse-power than most to drive the game :D So I'm not sure what is causing the slow-downs. I've noticed even some light disk activity seems to slow down the game on my PC, but otherwise it is generally quite smooth.

Pentium 4 3.6GHz, Singlecore
1 Gig of DDR (1)
MASSIVELY (70-90%!) fragmenbed ATA133-Disk
A stinkin old ATI 9600
Windows XP Pro SP2 fully patched
AVG antivirus
UFO:AI RC6 out of the box-install.

No drop in gamespeed whatsoever.
I can defrag the disk while playing: No slowdown...
I can crunch cancer-calculations (100% CPU consumption on lowest priority): No slowdown...
I can massively copy stuff from one HD to another or burn DVD's: No slowdown...

Maybe it is the antivir... If you have Norton: Norton is known for his CPU-hunger and slowdown-ability.

I figured it out, its something to do with linux's clock and dual core..
Thanks :)
